The next wave of technology will make intelligent decisions. From smart voice assistants like Siri or Alexa to autonomous driving programs, these intelligent programs are becoming smarter and driving a new generation of solutions. At the center of this movement is the study of machine learning. In this project, we want to encourage students not only to create machine learning models but also to get a deeper understanding of how these programs learn patterns. We hope students will be able to develop image classification programs and develop visualizations to explain their models to others.
Complicated jargon exists everywhere, especially in science. Jargon limits not only comprehension of discussed topics but also the audience to which information can be directed. The COVID-19 pandemic has underscored the importance of understanding the science behind current technological and scientific advancements. To better equip individuals with the ability to understand current events and the importance of scientific discoveries, Mission Possible strives to break down complicated scientific concepts so that people of all ages can understand them. We aim to empower, educate, and introduce a love for the sciences so that our audience can become a more socially conscientious citizenry.
